Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Springfield, OH is hiring a 3rd Shift Freight Handler for our distribution center. This part-time role pays starting at $18.60 per hour plus a $1 second shift premium, with weekly pay and bonus opportunities.

You will safely move pallets, inspect for damaged product, and prepare inbound freight for pallet configuration; must be 18+, able to work holidays, weekends, and tolerate extreme temperatures; English literacy; background check; prior warehouse experience preferred.

Job Description 3rd Shift Freight Handler - Part-time Distribution Center

Address: 4980 Gateway Blvd. | Springfield, Ohio 45502

Pay: Starting at $18.60/hour plus $1 second shift premium Plus, any performance incentives, bonuses, etc. This position is eligible for a $145 bonus per week.

Work Schedule: Part-time: 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. shift with a flexible schedule, where Friday is the only concrete day

Job Responsibilities

• Safely removing pallets of product from the trailer and breaking down the product for the correct pallet configuration.
• Separating inbound freight by item code onto good pallets.
• Ensuring that damaged product is properly accounted for and not received into the warehouse for sale inventory.
• Account for the structural integrity of pallets.

Requirements

• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed - holidays are very important to our customers.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25F to 100F).
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage and a background check.
• Prior warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
