Job summary

Carter LOGISTEED Express, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Cross Dock Team Leader in Laredo, TX to lead a small dock team in a fast-paced environment. You will supervise 5–7 hourly workers, ensure safety and productivity, and collaborate with the Cross Dock Supervisor to meet operational goals.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of logistics leadership experience, forklift proficiency, and strong communication. This full-time role requires adherence to DOT policies and company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year leadership experience preferred.
• 2 years sit-down forklift experience.
• Knowledge of standard warehouse and DOT policy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team of 5-7 hourly dock team members.
• Support dock supervisor with daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and productive work environment.
• Fosters a proactive, participative, cooperative work environment that works in conjunction with all other departments, shifts, and areas within the organization to maximize productivity and performance.
• Monitor, manage and promote proper safety, cleanliness, organization of equipment, workplace, and tools.
• Performs all other duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the Cross Dock operation.
• Operate sit down forklift.
