CD is seeking an experienced Crate Lead to oversee the daily Crate Department operations, ensuring finished products are crated, packaged, and staged accurately for shipping. You will supervise the crate team, optimize workflow, and maintain quality control throughout the process.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to train others on crating best practices, materials handling, and equipment operation.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years in shipping, warehousing, or manufacturing.
• 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role.
• Forklift certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and systems.
• Knowledge of safety and 5S principles.

Aufgaben

• Supervise and direct Crate Department tasks per schedule.
• Ensure crating/packaging meets CDI quality standards.
• Coordinate with Logistics and drivers on routes and loading.
• Maintain safe, organized crating and staging areas with 5S.
• Train and mentor team on crating, safety, handling, and ops.
• Manage inventory of crating materials and resupply with SCM.
• Keep records of crated goods with proper labeling.
• Load LTL/Flatbed trucks and assist load planning.
