Job summary

Durex Industries, Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Specialist to program, set up, and optimize Okuma CNC machines with OSP Controls. You will support MULTUS multitasking machines, 5-axis MU Series centers, and VTLs, while developing machining processes and documentation.

The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Okuma experience, GD&T know-how, CAD/CAM familiarity, and a drive for lean, continuous improvement in a high-mix, low-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Okuma CNC machine tools.
• Extensive experience using Okuma OSP Controls.
• Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, Okuma MU Series 5-axis machining centers, Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Ability to create setup sheets, tooling documentation, work instructions, and machining standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measuring equipment.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC machine tools using OSP Controls.
• Support production on Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines, MU Series 5-Axis machining centers, and VTLs.
• Develop and improve CNC machining processes for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn applications.
• Generate and maintain setup documentation, tooling lists, work instructions, and SOPs.
• Develop and maintain machining standards and process documentation.
