Durex Industries, a leader in thermal solutions, seeks a skilled 1st Shift CNC Specialist to advance complex multi-axis machining. You will program, set up, and optimize Okuma machines, and drive improvements across production teams with precise documentation and SOPs.

The role emphasizes strong GD&T, blueprint reading, and CAD/CAM proficiency in a high-mix environment, mentoring peers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with Okuma CNC machines.
• Extensive experience with Okuma OSP Controls.
• Experience with Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines and MU Series 5-axis centers.
• Familiarity with Vertical Turning Lathes (VTLs).
• Ability to create setup sheets, tooling docs, work instructions, and machining standards.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision metrology.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting high-mix, low-volume environments.
• Ability to lead process improvement initiatives and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize Okuma CNC tools using OSP Controls.
• Support production on Okuma MULTUS multitasking machines and MU Series 5-axis centers, and VTLs.
• Develop and improve CNC processes for multi-axis milling, turning, and mill-turn applications.
