Job summary

Amsted Rail seeks a 2nd Shift CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will run NC/CNC machines, perform basic tooling changes, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances and drawings.

You will inspect parts, document measurements, and participate in routine maintenance while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires the ability to work 10-hour shifts and lift up to 85 pounds. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and in a team are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate one or two NC/CNC machines.
• Change machine tooling as required.
• Inspect parts to specified tolerances and engineering drawing requirements using approved inspection methods.
• Ensure finished parts meet quality standards and visual requirements.
• Perform routine machine and equipment maintenance.
• Enter labor and production reporting accurately each day.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Perform minor assembly functions as needed.
• Meet established production and efficiency standards.
• Report equipment malfunctions, tooling issues, and material concerns promptly.
• Properly identify and document defects or non-conforming parts.
