Job summary

Amsted Automotive, SMW Manufacturing is seeking an experienced 2nd shift CNC Operator (6pm-4am) to meet production requirements for small orders and high-volume parts. You will set up and operate CNC lathes, mills, or machining centers, load tooling, read blueprints, and perform first-piece through final inspections.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED with technical training, are proficient with micrometers and calipers, understand GD&T, and can work overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with experience or vocational/technical certification required.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes, mills, or machining centers.
• Basic understanding of GD&T.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and machining parameters.
• Ability to identify quality issues and perform in-process inspections.

Responsibilities

Amsted Automotive, SMW Manufacturing, business unit is seeking an experienced 2 nd shift (6pm-4am) CNC Operator to meet production requirements which include making small orders of unique items, substantial amounts of an individual part, work components of metal and an ability with machine tools to good use to fill the operations necessary to make machined products to satisfy certain specifications.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
