Job summary

Jobot in Blaine, MN is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Turn Operator for 2nd shift to set up and run 5-axis/multi-axis machines producing precision parts. You will read blueprints, adjust tooling, and inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to ensure tolerances.

The role demands accuracy, teamwork, and compliance with safety standards. The position offers a $20-$33 per hour range with a $4 differential on the 2nd shift, and a Friday half-day while supporting a collaborative manufacturing

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC Mill Turn Operator or similar role.
• Proven experience with 5 Axis, Lathe, Calipers, Micrometers, Tool And Die, Mastercam, CMM, and Tooling.
• Sound knowledge of mechanical systems, mathematics, and technical schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
• Translate instructions into computer commands to ensure the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
• Inspect and measure finished products to ensure they meet requirements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, etc.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine-related issues.
• Ensure adherence to all health and safety regulations, including wearing protective equipment and maintaining a clean workspace.
