Journeyman CNC Machinist (2nd Shift)

Pay Rate: $39.09/hour + $2.00/hour shift differential

Shift: 3:30 PM – 11:55 PM (Monday–Friday)

Summary

We are seeking an experienced Journeyman CNC Machinist to support manufacturing operations in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high-quality components while ensuring compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Job Responsibilities
  • Operate vertical and horizontal CNC mills to machine parts to specification
  • Set up, run, and monitor CNC machining operations to meet production and quality requirements
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications to ensure accurate part production
  • Use precision measuring instruments and inspection tools to verify dimensions and maintain tight tolerances
  • Perform routine machine adjustments, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting to support efficient operations
  • Inspect finished components to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and quality-focused work environment
  • Follow established manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and applicable shop standards
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to resolve machining and quality concerns
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Journeyman papers required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of CNC machining experience required
  • Experience operating CNC mills in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply GD&T principles
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry
  • Ability to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:55 PM)
  • U.S. citizenship required at time of hire
