Job summary

TAIT is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist I for the 2nd shift in Lititz, PA. You will set up and operate milling machines, interpret blueprints, and manage tooling with guidance from senior machinists. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to safety and production standards.

Responsibilities include keeping 80%+ hours on contracted jobs, reading travelers, and delivering finished parts while maintaining quality control. Flexibility for different shifts and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school graduate.
• MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience is a plus.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up products on assigned milling machine tools with department support.
• Operate milling machine tools per inputs from CNC programmers or higher-level machinists.
• Read and interpret blueprints and job travelers for direction.
• Load and unload milling machine tools in a timely fashion.
• Allocate 80% or more hours to contracted jobs each shift.
• Identify, locate, and build tooling for production.
• Create and edit CNC offsets for fixtures and tooling.
• Perform tool breakage detection and recognize wear symptoms.
• Perform post processing during CNC cycle time.
• Deliver finished parts to designated areas.
• Meet production goals and schedules with input from management.
• Conduct quality control by inspection of materials and equipment.
