Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician at our Bridgeport facility to diagnose and repair CNC machinery, perform preventive maintenance, and support production with upgrades and installations. The role requires meticulous mechanical skills, ability to read schematics, and collaboration with management to improve equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, a high school diploma, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or general education degree
• Directly related experience in industrial or manufacturing mechanic comparable role with 5+ years’ experience.
• Driver’s License is required.
• Journeyman’s card is desirable.
• Aerial Lift certification is desirable
• Forklift operator’s desirable

Responsibilities

• Visually inspects and tests CNC machinery and equipment and performs routine maintenance on CNC machines and related equipment.
• Discusses machine operation variations with management or production workers to diagnose equipment problems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues affecting CNC operations.
• Assist with installation, calibration, and setup of new CNC equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors for component cost, availability and repair.
• Repair failures using alternative methods of repair or application.
• Develop, document, and perform preventive maintenance tasks to maximize Mean Time Between Failures.
