Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a precision manufacturer in Sturtevant, WI. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC machines to minimize downtime and ensure reliable equipment performance.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support 25–30 CNC machines. The schedule may include late-day shifts, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing CNC machinery.
• Ability to diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs independently.
• Experience interpreting drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair CNC machinery, including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control-related issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, lubrication, calibrations, and equipment alignments.
• Repair and replace machine components, including bearings, belts, linear guides, and ball screws.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions using technical manuals, schematics, drawings, and diagnostic tools.
• Maintain approximately 25–30 CNC machines, including older equipment and newer technology.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability.
• Document maintenance activities, equipment repairs, replacement parts, and downtime.
• Follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols.
• Coordinate replacement parts and assist with occasional facility maintenance needs.
• Support maintenance activities during production downtime, including occasional weekend or on-call repairs.
