Job summary

Adient Clanton is seeking a Machinist/Tool Maker to read blueprints and fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts using CNC and conventional machines. You will set up, operate, assemble, and verify parts, applying shop theory and measuring with precision tools. The role may involve welding and collaboration with engineers to resolve machining issues.

Must be willing to work the 2nd shift in our Clanton facility, contributing to the automotive seating production and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints to fabricate metallic and nonmetallic parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional, special-purpose, and CNC machines to fabricate parts.
• Fit and assemble machined parts into complete units.
• Inspect finished work with precision instruments to ensure specifications.
• Adjust machine controls to maintain tolerance and detect malfunctions.
• May operate welding equipment and confer with engineers to resolve issues.
