Job summary

CIRCOR - Leslie Controls in Tampa, FL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC lathe/mill and manual machines to produce precision parts. You will edit programs, verify dimensions against blueprints, and maintain quality through careful measurement and safe, 6S-compliant practices.

The role requires 2–5 years machining experience, ability to read drawings, understand G- and M-codes, and flexibility for second shift.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years machining experience.
• Able to set up and operate CNC machines.
• Understand G codes and M codes.
• Able to read drawings and blueprints, calculate dimensions.
• Able to work independently.
• Able to use measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers).
• PLC knowledge of controller to edit programs.
• Able to operate lathes/mills and secondary equipment.
• Able to hold tolerances ±0.001" or less.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; flexible for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe/mill and manual machines as required.
• Edit programs, speeds and feeds to meet daily production.
• Check dimensions against drawings with precision instruments.
• Improvise set-ups for non-standard work while maintaining quality.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow 6S practices.
• Report problems to supervisor and cooperate with team.
