Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Arab, Alabama is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate multi-axis CNC equipment for medical device components. You will read blueprints, set up and run mills and lathes, and ensure quality through metrology tools in a fast-paced environment.

This 2nd shift Friday-Sunday 5:30 PM–5:30 AM offers a starting pay of $20.00/hour plus an 11% weekend shift premium and an $8 per hour shift differential.

Qualifications

• High School Or Equivalent (Preferred)
• Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred)
• 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment (Preferred)
• Experience operating CNC Mills or Lathes independently (Required)
• Experience using measuring tools (Required)
• Experience reading basic blueprints (Required)
• Machining Trade School (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
• Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.
