Job summary

Orchid MPS Holdings, LLC in Arab, Alabama, part of Tecomet, is hiring a CNC Machinist to operate multi-axis equipment for precision medical device components. The role requires reading blueprints, GD&T, and accurate measurement in a fast-paced environment. Starting pay is $20.00/hour with a 11% weekend shift premium plus $5 per hour shift differential.

We value safety, quality, and lean practices. Lean Manufacturing and medical device experience are preferred; a High School diploma is required.

• Experience using measuring tools (e.g., Calipers, height gauge, indicator) (Required)
• Experience reading basic blueprints (Required)

Responsibilities

• Performs basic machining functions to produce parts.
• Operates multiple machines simultaneously.
• Monitors the machine to ensure proper program performance.
• Completes shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets.
• Makes off sets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision.
• Advocates for the health and safety of self, co-workers, customers, and the community.

SHIFT 1st Shift (United States of America)

SHIFT ALA – Weekend Shift 1 (United States of America - Alabama) Schedule: Friday–Sunday | 5:00 AM–5:30 PM Starting Pay: $20.00/hour Additional Pay: 11% Weekend Shift Premium plus $5 per hour Shift Differential A

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a key role in manufacturing medical device components by operating multi-axis CNC equipment. This position requires the ability to identify and work with X, Y, Z, and zero coordinates while operating multiple CNC machines simultaneously, including mills, lathes, and plunge machines. We're looking for individuals who are detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and committed to producing high-quality products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
