Job summary

SAPA Transmission is seeking a motivated CNC Machinist to join our 2nd shift manufacturing team in Michigan. You will operate CNC centers, assist with setups, read blueprints, and work under Senior Machinists to produce precise components for defense vehicles.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Understand GD&T and machining tolerances.
• Experience with basic G-code and CNC programs.
• Able to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers.
• Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC centers, mills, lathes, and mill-turn equipment.
• Assist with setups, tooling, offsets, and changeovers.
• Interpret blueprints and production specifications.
• Monitor quality and report issues to seniors.
• Maintain tool wear and perform preventive maintenance.
