Job summary

Mueller Water Products is seeking a Machine Operator (2nd shift) to operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and maintain quality on a manufacturing floor. You will set up tooling, load materials, verify settings, and monitor part dimensions while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; experience in CNC operations preferred.
• 3+ years operating CNC equipment in industrial/manufacturing settings.
• Familiarity with GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Basic knowledge of CNC programming and machining.
• Able to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications.
• Willingness to set up mills/lathes and adjust tooling as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, engineering plans, and machining parameters and interpret GD&T.
• Set up mills and lathes with tools, attachments, and fixtures.
• Load stock, verify settings, and inspect first-run parts for quality.
• Maintain safe operations and follow safety procedures.
• Document actions and keep production/quality logs.
• Collaborate with Operations and Leadership to meet KPI targets.
