You will work on ferrous and nonferrous metals and operate various mills and lathes to meet tight tolerances. Location: York, PA Navy Systems Plant. Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM.
We are seeking a CNC Machinist (Journeyman) to join our federal team at our York, PA location. We’re keeping the Navy cool. Literally. Our team at the Grantley Plant custom designs, develops and manufactures complex chilled water HVAC and refrigeration equipment for Navy vessels around the world. The job consists of performing duties required to plan, lay out, fabricate, assemble, fit, braze tubing, thread, weld complex piping, system components and weld coded, and noncoded pressure vessel assemblies and subassemblies, working with ferrous, nonferrous metals, using conventional or automatic submerged arc welding and difficult positions of stick, tig, and manual arc welding of Navy equipment.
Location: York, PA Navy Systems Plant
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday (2pm - 10pm)
Pay: $43.31 per hour, plus $2.00/hour shift differential
Union: This is a bargaining unit (union) position.
