Johnson Service Group is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist I in Valencia, CA for an aerospace environment. 1-3 years of CNC shop experience required; work entails operating CNC lathes/mills and deburring.

Read engineering drawings, measure parts with micrometers, calipers and gauges, and ensure quality while following safety guidelines. The role is a Temp- Direct position with competitive pay, benefits, and a path toward permanent placement.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years CNC machine shop experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• High School diploma or GED; trade school certification helpful.
• Lean experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate impregnation, deburring, drilling or punch press tasks as assigned.
• Check CNC machines to ensure correct raw material and setup sheets.
• Maintain coolant levels and viscosity; use refractometer as needed.
• Bench drill small diameters and inspect work for quality.
• Operate tumbler, wash, deburr equipment and related tools.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
• Monitor gauges to ensure machines run properly; perform other duties.

Johnson Service Group is looking for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist I with 1-3-years’ experience working in an Aerospace environment. This is Temp- Direct job in Valencia, CA for an Aircraft company.Pay Rate: $30.00 HR DOE 2nd ShiftThe CNC Deburring Operator is responsible for learning safe and efficient CNC machining practices under the direction of supervisors and experienced operators. Upon demonstrating proficiency and meeting required skill levels, the individual may assist with or independently operate CNC lathes, mills, and mill-turn machines. Successful candidates will be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, perform basic shop mathematics, and accurately use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, thread gages, and plug gages.Responsibilities:Operating impregnation machine and deburring (potentially drilling and punch press)Work under the direction of the shop supervisor and/or lead-person to perform daily tasks that may include but not limited to: Checking all CNC machines to ensure proper raw material is loaded in bar feeds based on needs specified on individual setup sheets.Check and fill necessary all CNC machines to ensure coolant tanks are full and at correct viscosity levels using a refractometerBench drilling small diameter and inspecting work to ensure complianceOperating tumbler wash, debur frill press and other simple equipmentActively participates in safety continuous improvement and processes needed to ensure production in maintainedMonitoring gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properlyOther duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 1-3 years CNC machine shop experience as a machinist operating CNC machinesHigh School diploma or GED or trade school certificationsKnowledge of principles and processes for providing good customer services.
