Job summary

Technique is seeking a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist for our Jackson, Michigan facility. You will operate, set up, and program HAAS mills and lathes, Flow Waterjet, and Mitsubishi Wire EDM using Mastercam and FlowXpert to support prototype manufacturing.

The role requires 2+ years of machining experience, strong problem-solving skills, and willingness to work overtime. You will join a team focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training preferred.
• Two or more years of related machining experience.
• HAAS CNC mill & lathe experience required.
• Mastercam 2D & 3D programming experience required.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Technical expertise and computer proficiency.
• Ability to multi-task (e.g., running multiple machines simultaneously).
• Very active physical position with standing, bending, and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and maintain personal tooling.
• Identify materials and determine feeds & speeds.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all machines.
• Set up and operate machining centers.
• Measure, deburr, and inspect parts.
• Program in Mastercam and manage tooling.
• Operate WATERJET and other equipment.
• Train employees and support department leadership.
