Job summary

Toyota is seeking a highly motivated Machinist for the 2nd Shift to operate and maintain 5-axis CNC machines and associated automation. You will produce race and commercial engine components to meet daily production schedules and quality targets.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a dynamic CNC environment, knowledge of Heidenhain/Mazatrol controls, and expertise in cutting tools, GD&T, and reading blueprints. This role requires 2nd shift availability and physical fitness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma AND AA Degree or completed trade school study relevant toward CNC machine manufacturing.
• Knowledge of 5 axis CNC machine controls (Heidenhain, Mazatrol experience is preferred).
• 5+ years' experience in a dynamic CNC manufacturing environment with operation, programming, and tool maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of CNC cutting tools (reamers, end mills, etc.).
• Ability to read and follow internal SOPs and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Mfg. Engineering to optimize machining processes and troubleshoot issues.
• Assist maintenance with machine geometry concerns using inspection data.
• Follow production schedule and verify machines are configured with tooling, tool life, and fixtures.
• Load castings and raw materials on pallets for 5 axis CNC machining in automation.
• Ensure machines operate to daily schedule achieving Quality and OEE targets.
• Perform daily maintenance on CNC machines and log activity.
• Coordinate with QC to validate part quality and resolve non-conformities.
• Recover machines and robots from alarms and resume production.
• Document machine issues in TRD tracking system with root-cause analysis.
• Build cutting tools according to tool list with 100% accuracy.
• Retrieve/build tooling per defined requirements.
