Job summary

Crane Pumps & Systems in Piqua, Ohio, seeks a skilled machinist to set up and operate conventional and CNC lathes/milling centers in a low-volume/high-mix environment.

You will read blueprints, select tools, set feeds and speeds, verify dimensions with gauges, and collaborate with programmers for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Reads blueprint or job order and determines sequence of operations.
• Sets up and secures tools and work pieces and adjusts feeds and speeds.
• Edits CNC programs with programmers for continuous improvement.
• Verifies machined parts using calibrated gauges.
• Operates bench tools to deburr parts.
