Job summary

Acme Industries in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking experienced CNC Machinists for 2nd shift. Operate milling/boring/turning with FANUC controls, read blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances. Earn up to $35.20/hour plus a hire-on bonus and benefits from day one.

We offer 2nd shift Monday-Friday 4:20 PM - 2:50 AM with 10% shift differential, overtime opportunities, and weekly pay. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CNC experience, strong blueprint skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and attendance.
• 5+ years of CNC machining experience; preferred.
• Experience operating CNC equipment with FANUC controls.
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and offsets.
• Experience machining castings, forgings, and close-tolerance components.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC milling, boring, and turning machines with FANUC controls to manufacture precision parts.
• Machine castings and forgings into tight-tolerance components per drawings.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain close tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Perform tooling changes, offsets, adjustments, and light setups.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Verify conformance to customer and engineering requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with process improvements.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Required Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining experience, formal machining training, or a combination of both.

Experience operating CNC equipment utilizing FANUC controls.

Working knowledge of tooling, machining practices, feeds, speeds, and offsets.

Experience machining castings, forgings, and close-tolerance components.

Basic computer skills.

Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Exceptional attention to detail.
