Job summary

Merrill Steel in Missouri seeks an Electrician/PLC Maintenance Mechanic II for the 2nd shift to perform preventative and general maintenance on CNC and weld equipment, coordinating with operators to minimize downtime. You will inspect, calibrate welders, operate cranes and forklifts, and document inspections and repairs.

One year of related experience and basic tools are required with training including LOTO, Aerial Lift and Fall Protection.

Qualifications

• One year of related maintenance experience.
• Basic tools provided by the job.
• Must have LOTO, Aerial Lift, Fall Protection and Confined Space training.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and schematics.
• Experience with cranes and lifting equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and general maintenance on CNC machines and weld equipment.
• Communicate repairs needed to operators and plan repairs.
• Record inspections and schedule downtime for maintenance.
• Calibrate welders and perform quarterly inspections.
• Maintain safety standards and operate cranes/forklifts as needed.
