Job summary

Freeform is seeking a detail-oriented CMM Inspector/Programmer to join our quality team in Hawthorne, CA. You will operate a Zeiss Contura CMM using Calypso, execute inspection programs, and communicate results to engineering and production.

This hands-on role involves maintaining inspection tools, documenting results, and improving workflows. Prior 5+ years CMM operating and 1+ year programming preferred; metal 3D-printed parts experience not required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CMM operating experience.
• 1+ years of CMM programming experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Operate Zeiss Contura CMM using Calypso for inspection of complex metal parts.
• Create and execute inspection programs; ensure measurement accuracy.
• Interpret GD&T on drawings and resolve interpretation issues.
• Select gauges and tools to verify feature tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineers to communicate inspection results and flag issues.
• Maintain inspection programs, toolkits, and records.
• Support upkeep of CMM equipment and drive workflow improvements.
