Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a CMM Programmer/Operator to inspect aerospace parts onsite in Fairfield, CA. You will develop and run ZEISS Calypso programs, ensuring tight tolerances and AS9100 compliance, while collaborating with machinists and engineers to resolve quality issues.

Ideal candidates have 2–5+ years of CMM experience, strong GD&T skills, and the ability to communicate inspection results clearly across teams.

Qualifications

High school diploma or technical/associate degree in manufacturing or quality.
2–5+ years of hands-on CMM experience in aerospace/defense or high-tolerance manufacturing.
Proficiency in ZEISS Calypso metrology software.
Strong understanding of GD&T interpretation and blueprint reading.
Ability to explain inspection data to production, machining, and management teams.

Responsibilities

Write and update inspection programs from 3D CAD models and blueprints using ZEISS Calypso.
Create, debug, and optimize measurement routines for complex parts.
Set up fixtures, calibrate probes, and run parts on the CMM.
Perform first-article, in-process, and final part checks.
Analyze data, record results, and flag out-of-tolerance issues.
Maintain accurate inspection records and generate quality reports.
