Job summary

Midwest Precision, a CNC manufacturer in Eastlake, OH, is seeking a 2nd Shift CMM Operator to inspect machined components, document results, and support production with quality issues.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a CMM in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand dimensional tolerances.
• Familiarity with GD&T principles.
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Ability to clearly communicate inspection results to production.
• Capability to work independently on second shift.

Responsibilities

• Set up parts and run established inspection programs on a CMM.
• Verify part identification, inspection requirements, and program before inspection.
• Read blueprints and specifications to evaluate conformance.
• Use micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision tools.
• Review CMM reports and compare results to drawings and tolerances.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and part traceability.
• Coordinate inspection priorities with Quality and Production teams.
• Follow safety procedures and quality requirements.
