Job summary

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy in Spring, Texas is hiring a Full-Time Certified Pharmacy Technician for the 2nd shift in a warehouse-style operation. Qualified candidates must hold Texas registration as a Pharmacy Technician and national certification (PTCB or NHA).

Qualifications

• Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician and is registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
• Holds a national certification (PTCB/ExCPT or NHA) for pharmacy technicians.
• Preferred qualification includes a Pharmacy Technician Career Diploma.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies as prescribed by physicians.
• Process prescriptions: counting, bottling, labeling, and recording dosages.
• Enter prescription information into computer system and verify accuracy.
• Perform inventory control and restock medications and supplies.
• Answer phone calls and manage customer queries for the pharmacist.
