Qualifications

The Care Giver/Med Tech role involves providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support to residents, and maintaining a safe, home-like environment.

Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for a designated group of residents; knows their whereabouts and checks on them regularly.
  2. Observes, reports, and documents changes in residents’ conditions.
  3. Responds promptly to security system and call bells.
  4. Notifies supervisor or Healthcare Coordinator of increased care needs.
  5. Assists with continence management and disposes of products properly.
  6. Serves and collects food trays, reports meal refusals or loss of appetite.
  7. Maintains cleanliness of residents’ rooms and work areas.
  8. Practices good hygiene and health precautions.
  9. Supports residents’ independence, dignity, and safety.
  10. Assists with activities of daily living and engages residents in life enrichment activities.
  11. Greets and assists customers, guests, family, vendors, and team members.
  12. Performs resident laundry as needed.
Medication Tech Duties
  1. Reviews service plans and assists with medication administration.
  2. Documents medication administration accurately.
  3. Maintains confidentiality of resident information.
  4. Reports concerns to Nurse or Healthcare Coordinator.
  5. Restocks and maintains medication supplies and records.
  6. Participates in medication and treatment procedures and documentation.
  7. Records vital signs and reports occupational exposures.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Certified Nurse’s Aid certification preferred.
  • High School diploma/GED required.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
  • Experience working with seniors preferred.
