Job summary

Kingsley Senior Living Facility, located in Canton, MI, is seeking caring individuals to join our care staff and med tech team. You will support residents with daily activities and medication administration, promoting independence and safety in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in elderly care preferred but not required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in/out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medications and injections as per medical charts.
• Maintain cleanliness of the environment, light housekeeping as needed.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures and document medications.
• Assist with meal intake and feeding as needed.
• Respond to call lights and assess residents' needs.

As a care staff and med tech, you will be helping our residents with their daily care as well as assisting with their medication administration. Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medication is a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assess for changes in condition and communicate immediately to the supervisor.
• Administer medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedule, and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Follow procedures regarding documenting medications.
• Utilize good judgment in providing client care and safety.
• Assisting other team members with their duties.
• Complete all required documents and charting.
• Answer call lights and assess residents' needs.
• Obtain meal trays and assist with eating.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to work every other weekend.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend.
