Job summary

Kingsley Senior Living Facility in Canton, MI is seeking caring individuals to join our care staff team. You will assist residents with daily living activities, help with medications, and support safety and independence in a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include helping residents with transfers, bathing, dressing, and meals, documenting care, and communicating changes to supervisors. A high school diploma or GED is required, and weekend availability is needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation.
• Every other weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with daily living activities such as transferring in/out of bed, bathing, dressing, toileting, and walking.
• Passing medications as a primary responsibility along with hands-on care to each resident.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment including light housekeeping.
• Complying with safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Assessing changes in condition and communicating to the supervisor immediately.
• Administering medications and injections to residents based on medical charts.
• Following schedules and assisting residents with repositioning.
• Documenting medications accurately.
• Providing client care and safety using good judgement.
• Assisting other team members with duties.
• Completing all required documents and charting.
• Answering call lights and assessing residents’ needs.
• Obtaining meal trays and assisting with meals.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
