Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking a Campus Security Officer for the Schenectady campus with second and third shift options. Responsibilities include training, emergency response, and maintaining access controls.

Candidates should have a NY Security Guard license (16-hour), a high school diploma or GED, and be capable of handling reports and calls. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and English communication is expected.

Qualifications

• State NY Security Guard License (16-hour course completed)
• High School Diploma or GED
• 2nd Shift availability and 6-week shifts
• Associates degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred
• First Aid / CPR/ AED certification preferred
• Experience with 2-way radio and dispatching in emergency services
• Excellent communication, written reports, and English proficiency

Responsibilities

• Complete required training and certifications for security tasks
• Respond to on-site emergencies
• Maintain campus access controls and patrol the GE Schenectady campus
