Job summary

Midwestern University Glendale Campus maintains the health sciences facilities, with a focus on upkeep and repairs. The Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift) performs essential tasks across plumbing, electrical, painting and equipment care to support campus operations and events.

The role requires a HS diploma or GED, 1–2 years building maintenance, a valid driver's license, and basic MS Office skills. Work is Monday–Friday, 3:00pm to 11:30pm, reporting to the Lead Building Technician.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; one-year certificate from college or technical school desired.
• 1–2 years building maintenance experience preferred; valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with MS Office Word; basic Excel skills desirable.

Responsibilities

• Installs, maintains and repairs plumbing, electrical and structural systems campus-wide.
• Sets up events and classrooms; moves furniture and manages moveable walls.
• Performs interior/exterior painting and repairs floors and walls.
• Installs/removes outdoor signs and traffic barriers; maintains tools and work areas.
• Ensures safety, regular attendance and uses power/hand tools as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
