Job summary

Avery Weigh-Tronix is hiring for an assembly calibrator to build and adjust products per engineering specs and training. You will follow work instructions, meet deadlines, and maintain a clean, safe work environment on a Monday–Thursday night shift.

You will read blueprints, inspect for quality, complete paperwork accurately, and perform tasks with minimal supervision while cooperating with team members. Extensive PPE and safety rules apply.

• Basic computer knowledge.
• Strong time management and problem solving skills.

Regular hour schedule for this this position is Monday – Thursday 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM with ½ hr lunch each day. Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed. Overtime hours are scheduled on Fridays and occasional Saturdays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to consistently use hands to assemble, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is consistently required to stand, walk, lift, and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision. Other physical requirements include:

• Ability to physically move or assist in moving equipment
• Stand – 60% - 80% of time
• Walk – 33% - 66% of time
• Sit – up to 20% of time
• Use of hands – 80%+ of time
• Reach of hands and arms – 66%+ of time
• Climb or balance – 5% of time
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl – 5% of time
• Lifting up to 10 lbs – 10% of time

• Able to wear safety (steel- or composite-toed) shoes during entire shift
• Able to wear hearing and eye protection during entire shift

Other abilities

Ability to follow instructions (English) from sources such as work orders, work aids, blueprints, sales orders and other employees. Good training retention. Must be able to collaborate with team members of all backgrounds in a positive & productive manner. Strong work ethic and self-motivation with minimal supervision. Ability to consistently report to station on time. Quality oriented. Required to follow all safety and company policy rules.

Availability

Desire to participate in voluntary overtime when offered. Ability to self-manage paid time off including proper requests and maintaining sufficient balance.

Pay Range
