Job summary

McClancy Foods & Flavors is seeking a Blending Operator to measure, mix, and process ingredients for high-quality food products in Fort Mill, SC. The role emphasizes strict adherence to formulas, GMP, HACCP, and safety standards in a fast-paced production setting.

The position requires basic math, attention to detail, and the ability to follow batch sheets and SOPs. Shift hours are 2nd shift (3:00 pm–11:00 pm) with potential overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, blending, or mixing operations preferred.
  • Basic math skills for measurements, conversions, and batch calculations.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, batch sheets, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor blending equipment per production schedules and product specifications.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and add ingredients following standardized formulas and batch instructions.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and timing of ingredient additions to maintain product consistency and quality.
  • Monitor mixing processes (temperature, time, speed, etc.) and make adjustments as needed.
  • Perform routine equipment checks to ensure proper functionality and report any issues to maintenance.
  • Follow GMP, HACCP and all food safety and quality procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment, including equipment and production areas.
  • Complete production documentation, batch records, and quality control logs accurately.
  • Assist with inventory control by tracking ingredient usage and reporting shortages or discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance process efficiency and product quality.

Position Summary: The Blending Operator is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and processing ingredients to produce high-quality food products in accordance with company formulas, safety standards, and quality specifications. This role ensures efficient operation of blending equipment while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and regulatory requirements.


Shifts hours:

2nd- 3:00pm to 11:00pm

Description of Duties:

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, blending, or mixing operations preferred
  • Basic math skills for measurements, conversions, and batch calculations
  • Ability to read and follow recipes, batch sheets, and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
