Job summary

Azenta Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Biobank Technician I to support registering, labeling, retrieving and discarding irreplaceable biological materials while maintaining strict temperature controls.

You will work Mon-Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM, and follow SOPs aligned with GMP/GTP/GLP/GDP and ISO standards. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma and at least two years of teamwork-oriented experience; Life Sciences background and GMP/GTP/CLIA familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years’ experience demonstrating teamwork, self-motivation, detail orientation, and professionalism.
• Life Sciences experience preferred.
• GMP/GTP/CLIA experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read/understand/interpret basic English instructions.
• Proficiency with Excel and basic data entry.

Responsibilities

• Register, label, retrieve, and discard biological materials while maintaining proper temperatures.
• Follow SOPs and regulatory requirements (GMP, GTP, GLP, GDP, ISO, CAP).
• Operate the inventory management system and maintain chain of custody and audit trails.
• Package materials for lab services and shipments; retrieve and discard as requested.
• Perform quality control checks and discard quality checks.
• Assist with upkeep of the facility and generate location management reports.
