Job summary

Gotion Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations for battery products in Manteno, IL.

You will supervise production staff, drive performance, ensure quality, and support continuous improvement initiatives to meet targets. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent leadership experience, strong communication, and proven problem-solving skills in a high-volume manufacturing setting, preferably with battery or automotive expertise.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading production teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with production metrics, workforce management, and continuous improvement.
• Battery, automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop production employees to achieve safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Monitor daily production activities to ensure schedules and targets are met.
• Promote compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
• Address production issues and coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to minimize downtime.
• Track and communicate key performance metrics, including safety, quality, output, and attendance.
• Conduct employee training, coaching, performance management, and corrective actions as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
