Job summary

American Battery Solutions is seeking a Production Operator I for the 2nd shift in Springboro, OH. You will join a production team assembling battery pack systems to meet customer specs, launching new products, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

You will follow SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures; meet takt times, handle quality tasks, and participate in PFMEA reviews as needed. This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in electrification assembly line/high voltage/battery manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or IATF16949 quality systems.
• Complete 30/60/90-day reviews.
• Minimum 960 hours of training.
• Safety-focused with ability to adapt to process changes.
• Quality-driven with a team orientation.
• Strong problem-solving and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products to customer requirements and company goals.
• Meet takt and cycle time, throughput expectations, and standard work for each operation.
• Apply waste-reduction practices to support OEE and FTY.
• Participate in PFMEA and work instruction reviews.
• Identify and support continuous improvement to reduce scrap and costs; maintain a safe work environment.
• Follow SOPs and documented processes for tasks or stations.
• Participate in safety activities and GEMBA walks; contribute ideas for 6S/ergonomics.
• Complete required safety training and comply with PPE requirements.
• Support weekend and off-shift work as required.
• Adhere to federal and state regulations and company policies.
• Performs other duties as requested and maintain reliable attendance.
