Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. is seeking an Automation Technician for the 2nd shift in Springboro, Ohio. The role focuses on fault recovery, pneumatic controls, robotics, and PLC-based systems to keep manufacturing equipment running at peak efficiency.

You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production to drive improvements and support new product introductions. You will diagnose faults quickly, repair Allen Bradley PLCs and Fanuc robots, interpret schematics, and assist with

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in controls/automation.
• Minimum of 2 years in controls/automation in manufacturing.
• Proficient with Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc robots, pneumatics, and HMIs.
• Knowledge of SQL/MES is preferred.
• Able to read electrical/pneumatic schematics and interpret layouts.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and recover from equipment faults to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and control hardware.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain electrical systems, sensors, drives, and motors.
• Support system upgrades via schematic interpretation.
• Assist IT to maintain production uptime.
• Support pneumatic systems and vision systems (Keyence/Cognex).
• Operate and troubleshoot Fanuc robots and teach pendant operations.
• Program PLCs under engineering guidance.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
