Job summary

Kraft Heinz Company in Mason, OH is seeking a Batch Operator/Processor for the Processing Department on the 2nd shift (2pm-10pm). The role involves delivering supplies to machines, monitoring equipment, and moving ingredients using a forklift or pallet jack.

Excellent safety and quality focus is essential. Starting pay is $25.40/hour with nine company holidays, vacation after 90 days, benefits after 30 days, and a 401(k) with company matching plus bonus potential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• History of safe work practices.
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics environment required.
• Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to call out defects and ensure quality.
• Score well on job skills assessment after interview.

Responsibilities

• Follow production schedules with minimal scrap/spoilage.
• Visually inspect equipment for cleanliness and maintenance needs.
• Monitor controls, temperature meters, valves and adjust as needed.
• Operate forklift/pallet jack to move ingredients or pallets.
• Open ingredient cases using can openers and knives.
• Record data on batches, ingredients used, and lot codes.
• Assist in cleaning equipment and lines between recipes.
• Acquire ingredients from warehouse and sample batches.
• Transfer finished products to drums/tanks via piping system.
• Determine batch size to meet orders and line capacity.
• Follow GMP guidelines and keep a clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
