Job summary

Custom Building Products is seeking a Batch Operator for our Bell, CA plant. You will be the first step in the quality process, blending products accurately and timely.

Responsibilities include weighing ingredients, loading mixers, and maintaining batch records while ensuring safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment. This 2nd shift (Mon–Fri) runs 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with an overtime option and a $1.50/hr shift premium.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior batch or blending experience preferred, but training is available.
• Able to read and follow work orders and complex instructions.
• Experience operating automated equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow formulas and production instructions precisely to ensure product quality.
• Weigh and load ingredients into mixers and take samples for QC.
• Operate mixing/blending equipment for cement, grout, mastic, and cleaning products.
• Maintain accurate batch logs, maintenance reports, and shift handoff documentation.
• Assist with packaging and material handling to support production flow.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements; wear all required PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
