Job summary

Astronautics Corporation of America is seeking a Production Assembler for our 2nd shift at our Oak Creek, WI headquarters. The role covers mechanical and circuit-card assembly, soldering, and repairs, with training for all shifts and a shift premium.

You will report to the Manager of Electronic Assembly and Support and work from engineering drawings and assembly procedures to ensure quality builds for avionics and related equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Must have fine manual dexterity skills.
• Able to follow standard written work instructions and understand electronic/mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Must pass Astronautics solder training program.
• Must pass English comprehension test to meet FAA Repair Station requirements.
• Must be a U.S. person per U.S. export regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts and circuit cards as per engineering drawings.
• Hand-solder components onto circuit cards and perform wire harnessing.
• Utilize hand tools, calipers, torque drivers/wrenches for assembly tasks.
• Operate arbor press and drill press for assembly and finishing work.
• Follow shop orders and production instructions.
