2nd Shift Automation Maintenance Technician

Join our team as a 2nd Shift Automation Maintenance Technician at Aludyne, the world's leading aluminum knuckle manufacturer. Job Overview

The Automation Maintenance Technician will be responsible for development, enhancements, programming, debugging, troubleshooting, and implementing automation systems and machinery. You will support production and may also engage in training, CNC and PLC programming, motion control programming, operator interface programming, fault recovery, and systems programming for robotics, vision, and facility systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot, engineer, and integrate automated systems.
  • Collaborate with Quality to implement defect detection and reduce scrap.
  • Update existing systems as required.
  • Follow instructions and perform duties as assigned by supervisors.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and electrical safety standards.
  • Participate in training to learn new technologies.
  • Assist maintenance with troubleshooting production equipment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in automation systems.
  • Experience with Fanuc FAPT ladder programming, Teach Pendant programming, electrical panel design, AutoCAD, and PC applications.
  • Knowledge of robot interface, network protocols, PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens), and mechanical design (SolidWorks a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
