Job summary

TREW is hiring an Automation Fabrication Technician for the 2nd shift in West Chester, OH. The role supports a state-of-the-art sheet metal fabrication system including laser cutters, press brakes, and robots.

Responsibilities include operating the system, programming with specialized software, and coordinating with the supervisor to meet production schedules. A combination of an engineering/manufacturing degree or related machine experience is required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in an engineering or manufacturing discipline (MET, EET, Electro-Mechanical, Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing, or similar).
• Or experience programming and operating metal forming machines (Laser, Punch, Press Brake, Mill, Lathe).
• Computer competence and deep knowledge of sheet metal fabrication is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate all key elements of the sheet metal fabrication system.
• Utilize specialized software packages to program and operate all major elements of the sheet metal fabrication system.
• Estimate fabrication times, balance workload, and manage work in progress to meet production schedules.
• Perform routine checks, replace consumables, and perform preventative maintenance to ensure uptime.
• Willingness to learn new skills and software tools via formal training programs and informal on-the-job training.
