Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an Automation Controls Technician for the 2nd shift in Lincoln, NH. You will help assemble, wire, plumb, test run, troubleshoot and repair custom automation equipment alongside engineers and technicians.

Our systems include robots, lasers, dial indexers, pick-and-place mechanisms and automated packaging. The role requires five or more years in a mechanic/manufacturing environment and an AS in engineering/technology or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in a mechanic/manufacturing/machinist environment.
• Hands-on skills you might learn from working on cars, farms, homes, etc. is a strong bonus.
• AS in engineering/technology would also be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret designs with automation engineers to bring the designs to life.
• Study specifications, drawings, or models to build automation equipment.
• Manage projects including organization and cleaning.
• Organize incoming materials from machine shop and outside vendors.
• Calculate dimensions, plan layout, and determine assembly method.
• Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances.
• Lift, position and secure machine parts; assemble components into assemblies.
• Wire and plumb machines with guidance from engineers/technicians.
• Set up and troubleshoot basic automation electronics such as sensors and VFDs.
• Operate machine tools to machine or fabricate parts; verify conformance.
