Job summary

Aerotek is seeking an Assembly professional for our Hiawatha, IA facility. You will participate in assembly and related warehouse tasks, using hand and air-powered tools, measuring parts, and preparing items for shipment.

The role offers cross-training across production and warehouse areas, with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and documentation in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. This is a contract position on the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
• At least 6 months of labor or manufacturing experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
• Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or product prints.
• Comfort working with hose fabrication processes and related equipment.
• Ability to use calipers and tape measures for accurate measurement.
• Basic computer skills for using simple programs and recording data.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and twist for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws, fitting equipment, crimpers, and lathes per specs.
• Use air-powered and hand tools to assemble products to standards.
• Prepare assembled parts for shipment with proper packaging and docs.
• Conduct cycle counting and participate in inventory activities.
• Read product prints and use measuring devices to verify tolerances.
• Record production and inventory data accurately in systems.
• Cross-train across warehouse and production areas as needed.
• Move between stations and maintain safe, organized work areas.
