Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead the assembly line on 2nd shift (3 pm–11 pm) in Illinois. You will monitor production tasks, quality, safety and paperwork, and provide training to staff to maintain efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and prior supervisory experience, with strong reading of measurements and basic math. Bi-lingual English/Spanish abilities are valued in our diverse team.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior supervisory experience is required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Clear communication with employees and management.
• Intermediate computer skills and industry software experience (Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi).
• Fluent or working knowledge of English/Spanish is preferred.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Assembly process on the plant floor and in the office.
• Monitor production tasks, quantities and efficiencies.
• Ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Keep accurate paperwork and computer records.
• Provide training to all employees and conduct safety meetings.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and support employee relations.
