Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Assembly Supervisor for a 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm) in Bolingbrook, IL. You will lead assembly on the plant floor and in the office, monitor production tasks, quantities and efficiency, and ensure quality, safety and accurate paperwork.

You will train staff, run safety meetings and uphold GMP standards while managing inventory and employee relations in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
• Able to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Able to clearly communicate with employees and management.
• Proficient with email, Excel and Word; corrugated industry software experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred.
• Attention to detail and safety guidelines adherence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production line efficiency, quality, cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain all appropriate paperwork.
• Provide training for all employees.
• Conducts plant safety meetings.
• Maintain compliance with safety rules/regulations for a safe environment.
• Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Evaluate employee performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Handle all aspects of employee relations.
