Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking an Assembly Supervisor to lead the Assembly process on the plant floor and in the office. You will monitor production tasks, quantities and efficiencies, quality and safety, and ensure paperwork and computer entry are accurate.

This is a 2nd shift position (3 pm - 11 pm). Training employees, conducting safety meetings and maintaining inventory are part of the role, with focus on GMP compliance and a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED.
• Prior supervisory experience.
• Must read a tape measure and have math skills.
• Must clearly communicate with employees and management.
• Intermediate computer skills: Email, Excel, Word, and corrugated industry software (Amtech, Harry Rhodes, Kiwi).
• Ability to communicate in a bilingual English/Spanish environment.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production line efficiency, quality, cleanliness and safety.
• Maintain all appropriate paperwork.
• Provide training for all employees.
• Conduct plant safety meetings.
• Maintain compliance with safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe workplace.
• Ensure adherence to Federal Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Evaluate employee performance.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts.
• Handle all aspects of employee relations.
